Matthew Hoogervorst is a soft goods designer from Chapel Hill, NC, who is passionate about the outdoors, human connection, and new experiences. He graduated from Appalachian State University in May 2025 with a BS in Industrial Design. After studying design in Prague in the summer of 2023, Matthew exhibited a collaborative project at ICFF 2024. Matthew interned at Grounded Works Leather in Blowing Rock, NC, during the fall semester of 2024, and has been working there since as a designer and craftsman.
